Анатолий закончил геологический факультет, каждый год ездил в экспедиции. Сотрудничал с оленеводами за Ханты-Мансийском, они были его проводниками и сотрудниками. Там и встретил девушку. Она спасла ему жизнь.
Однажды геолог упал в ледяную реку с обрыва – и ему точно не жить, если бы рядом на пригорке не стояла Яляне, которая уже давно чувствовала к нему симпатию. Конечно, никто ему эту девушку не дарил. У ненцев не такие уж порядки, хотя традиции древнего племени сохранились в сильной мере. Постепенно Анатолий сблизился с ней, начали общаться. Русский она особо не знала, но покорила его своими бездонными глазами, заботой, понимающим и принимающим теплом, которое от нее исходило. Он предложил Яляне поехать с ним в город, попробовать пожить в цивилизации. Все равно периодически он будет ездить в экспедиции, она сможет видеть родных. Но вопрос адаптации очень важен. Будет ли ей там комфортно и интересно? Как ее там примут?
Как выяснилось, умение выживать и адаптироваться у ненецкой девушки было в избытке. Через пять лет после приезда в Москву она поступила в вуз на исторический факультет, свободно разговаривая на русском. Родила сына, занималась экстремальным спортом и сделала ремонт квартиры, пока муж уехал в очередную рабочую поездку. Оформила модную стрижку, всегда ухаживала за собой, ходила в салоны красоты, одевалась элегантно. Соседи и коллеги мужа всем ставили «Лену» в пример.
